We’re not part of a big chain, just a traditional old fashioned pub with simple rules & expectations. All we want is for all our guests to enjoy their visit, leave with a smile on their face & return again very soon. Here are the nitty gritty bits:

ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR & RESPECT

We strictly adhere to our licensing obligations. We will not under any circumstances serve unruly customers, those under the influence of excessive alcohol or those who disrespect or intimidate the staff team. We operate a challenge 25 policy; please don’t be offended if you are asked for identification. Anyone causing even a minor disturbance will be asked to leave.

CHILDREN

Children must be supervised at all times.

Age 8 & below – are not permitted in the gas-lit lounge bar, Vaults Bar only inc. prams & pushchairs

Over 8 years old – Both bars until 9pm only (Sundays until 4pm)

DOGS

Dogs are permitted in both bars and the beer garden but must be kept on a lead at all times and not on the furniture. During busy periods dogs will not be permitted, this is for their own safety.

TELEVISION & SPORTS

We have a television in both bars but unfortunately we can’t afford SKY, terrestrial only!

SMOKING

While smoking inside is not permitted, we have a dedicated smoking area around the back. E-cigarettes acceptable but NO vaporizers emitting smoke

Our Vaults Bar is perfect for up to 30 people, the lounge bar can accommodate approx. 80. Available for celebrations, business meetings, conferences or exhibitions, we can adapt to suit your requirements. Please get in touch for further details
